Where To Find Snorkeling in Phuket?

Other than the tours you will find few snorkeling spot from the beach on the west side of Phuket. The Main on is Kata beach North point, you will have to swim from the beach around 60m outside to see this reef, better to get fins. the reef is very shallow especially at low tide. marine life offers a large variety of fishes.

Another spot on the southwest Ao sane beach, the reef is along the beach very often easy condition. Hard coral reef you will be able to find many special of fishes, sometimes we spot turtle here as well. Visibility is not that great (around 10m) a lot of dust in the water and on corals.

for the advanced swimmer equipped with fins go to Ya Nui beach in the south the swim to the island (take 10min around 400m) we recommend to take a floating device for safety and mind the current between the island before engage yourself there. but you will find a large shallow reef all around the island.

What Time Of Year Is Best For Snorkeling?

The most popular time to visit Phuket is winter to spring. The rest of the year, the west coast is exposed to wave and visibility is not good at all. The waters are warm, clear and generally calm.
