Phang Nga Bay
Around 400 square meters, Phang Nga Bay is composed of impressive petrosal stones, mangroves, and water varying between green emerald to turquoise blue depending on the lighting.
The Phang Nga Bay offers spectacular landscapes that are similar to the Halong Bay in Vietnam. The Bah has been declared as National Park since April 1981. It is located in the Andaman Sea, in the south of Thailand, between Phuket and Krabi.
The discovery of its fabulous rock picks (around 300 of them) is made by grooving around the Bay by boat. You will see cliffs, stalactites, small beaches, caves… in a wild and green panorama.
Between lagoons, caves, and heavenly beaches
Formed 30 million years ago, these ancient rock formations and high tides and a recent of caves and lagoons where pirates and bandits used to defy authorities by simply disappearing in one of these many natural hideouts.
The “Must See”‘s of Phang Nga Bay
- The islet of Koh Tapu“The Krab’s Eye Islet”, a rock measuring over 20 meters high, known under his name of “James Bong Island.“ It was made famous following the filming of “The Man with the Golden Gun
” (1974) and “Tomorrow Never Dies” (1997).
- The Fisher Village of the Islet of Koh Panyee is also called “Gipsy Village” (Sea Gipsy). This floating village made out of wood and sheet steel, built on stilts habitat by over 350 Muslim families that live out from fishing and tourism. Located at the base of the gigantic rock. You will find various small souvenir shops, artisanal products, and tasty food.
